Steventon spent a great deal of his
time on the road, and like the rest of us, he made time to dine at many of the
restaurants along the way. Although he enjoyed dining at these restaurants,
they didn’t quite satisfy the need for the finer things in life.
Steve, for many years, had dreamed
of having his own fine dining establishment with an ambiance an elegance
unheard of througout the area. Some
where around the spring of 91’ he came
across a beautiful spot on one of the bluffs in LeClaire, Iowa. So there he was, standing on the hilltop,
looking down over the Mississippi River with the sun setting down, thinking to
himself…
“This is the place! This is the perfect place for Steventon’s.”

Although he had never owned a
restaurant, he knew that this would be the finest establishment throughout the
area. Much like Steve himself, his restaurant was destined for greatness. Just
like he always said: “VINI-VIDI-VICI”
by his son: Kelly J. Wagner
